We all know that unemployment is up and people are having a hard time getting a new job. Instead of just writing about the problem like every news outlet out there, I wanted to offer some advice on what you can do if you are out of work. Chances are if you are reading my blog that means that you are somewwhat web savvy, you know how to use the internet. That’s good becuase you can use the net to make money. I am not talking about those get rich quick schemes or mlm schemes out there. I will tell you there are definately legitimate ways to make some money.
Have you ever thought about starting a blog? It is super easy (hey, even I can do it) and does not cost much to start up. You can start a blog free on wordpress.com or blogger.com. Blogger even lets you post google ads (this is where the money part comes in) You can also find affiliate programs related to your niche and promote their products for a piece of the action. The thing with a blog is you will have to be patient and will not make money until it takes off. If you devote 2-3 hours a day posting fresh content it can take off in a couple of month.
Another great way to make some cash on the internet is taking surveys. You have to be careful that you are going with reputable companies. I have a relationship with a survey company that pays out per survey and you can easily make several hundred bucks a week in your spare time. (I will post a link at the bottom of this post)
Another idea is to work as a freelance writer. There are tons of webmasters that that are looking for good writers to write content for their blogs and websites, Take a look at sites like digitalpoint.com for more info..
These suggestions will probably not come close to helping you make what you did before but could certainly help out.
