The econony is very bleak right now and it is especially tough for recruiters. It makes sense, if companies are not hiring then they don’t need recruiters. I have many friends that have been let go from great companies like Google, JNJ, and Wyeth. I do see a growth spot in this current economic climate and it is a direct result of the stimulus bill that the President signed last week. The green jobs industry is growing at a rapid pace and the need for recruiters is strong. Many of the companies are turning to experienced “Green Recruiting Firms” to locate top talent. In turn, many of these firms are adding to their recruiter ranks. If you are interested in this segment, you my want to take a look at these experienced “green recruiting shops.”

It is my belief that the economy will pick up towards the end of this year and hiring will increase as the year progresses. It is also my belief that the green collar industry will be leading the charge.

Yes I certainly think that the you will be seeing a lot more on the green scene coming up on the news in the future. With the government stimulus package in the works based around eco friendly businesses there should be many new green jobs available shortly.
