Alright, you just got laid off..I know it hurts (I have been there) but it is not the end of the world. Here are 5 basic things to do when you get laid off.

On this great holiday that we celebrate today, I thought it made sense to highlight the top job boards that are dedicated to diversity hiring. Many of these boards are trying to become what I call “sub specialty” boards by focusing on diversity in a particular industry. For example,...

I wanted to bring to your attention the top 2 job sites on the Internet, imho. Surprise, it is not Monster or Career Builder. Although, according to compete.com. Indeed is still behind Monster and CB, I believe in the next couple of years Indeed will surpass them both. It is surprising to me that there are so many people who still have not heard of Indeed or Simply Hired. I conducted an informal survey,...

There has been an enormous surge in spam targeting job seekers. The difficult economic conditions are definitely driving this. There have been numerous reports of people putting their resume up on Monster.com and hours later having an inbox full of spam.
My advice is Do NOT post your resume on any online job boards unless you do it anonymously. When you post your resume online anyone can see it. Anyone...
